Searches

In the interest of promoting student safety and attempting to ensure that schools are safe and drug free, District officials may from time to time conduct searches. Such searches are conducted without warrant and as permitted by law.

Vehicles on Campus

Vehicles parked on school property are under the jurisdiction of the school. School officials may search any vehicle anytime there is reasonable cause to do so, with or without the presence of the student. A student has full responsibility of the security and content of his or her vehicle and must make certain that it is locked and that the keys are not given to others.

Zero Tolerance-Drug Possession

Students caught in possession of an illegal substance will be removed from the program and will be prosecuted.

School Rules

As required by law, the District has established a Student Code of Conduct that prohibits certain behaviors and defines standards of acceptable behaviors both on and off campus and consequences for violation of the standards. Students need to be familiar with the standards set out in the Student Code of Conduct, as well as campus and classroom rules.

To achieve the best possible learning environment for all students, the Student Code of Conduct and other campus rules of behavior will apply whenever the interest of the District is involved, on or off school grounds, and in conjunction with or independent of classes or school-sponsored activities. The District has disciplinary authority over a student in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct. You are adults and we expect you to be respectful and responsible.

Attendance
Regular school attendance is essential for the student to make the most of his or her education, to benefit from teacher-led instruction and school activities, to build each day's learning on the previous day's , and to grow as an individual. Absences from class may result in serious disruption of a student's mastery of the instructional materials; therefore, the student should make every effort to avoid unnecessary absences. Students must attend school everyday and arrive to school on time. Three tardies equals one absence. Students with three absences will have to conference with an administrator.
